Hailing from Indianapolis, Indiana, Ellisa Oyewo is a graduate of Illinois Institute of Art-Chicago with a B.A. in Fashion Marketing/Management. With years of editorial experience, including a highly-coveted internship with Seventeen Magazine in NYC she was determined to leave her mark in the digital world one article at a time. Ellisa has contributed to The Swank Report Magazine, Clutch Mag, Vibe Vixen and has held the position of Fashion Editor of Coco & Crème magazine. As well as writing she is a social media manager for beauty + fashion brands. Mixing both her passions of empowering young ladies and her love for the digital world C.O.R.E Magazine came to life by both her + her sister. C.O.R.E Mag is an online teen magazine (TheCOREreader.com) geared to empower and up lift young women of color. It's is a movement to develop a strong and positive foundation for teen girls. Allowing them to understand and maintain a healthy level of self-worth through online and on-campus development.
