Gabby Douglas, we salute you. For being one heck of an amazing young woman.
Actually, we give props to the entire U.S. women’s gymnastics team, who celebrates their first Olympic title win since 1996. The team won the gold medal on Tuesday night with a score of 183.596, five points ahead of Russia.
The cheers, claps, and overall elation that rose from the floor that night came to show the power that comes from persistence and dedication; the United States has always come into the last two Olympics as world champions, but had failed to get the gold.
If at first you don’t succeed, try, try, and try again.
