Summer may mean a lot of things—swimwear, bright colors, a break from classes. But this summer has one huge meaning: awesome tours. It is almost certain that no matter where you are in the nation, you can catch a good show. Here are a few places you have to pay a visit while the weather is warm:

HOT 97 SUMMER JAM (JUNE 3): Sure, it might only last one day, but you are sure to get your hip-hop fill. Dress for warm weather because artists like Drake, Nicki Minaj, Trey Songz and Big Sean are sure to blaze the stage. There is no better way to get what New York has to offer than to hear hip-hop in its birthplace.

    Check here for more information.

ESSENCE Music Festival (JULY 6-8): This festival brings the heat of R&B artists and more to the soulful city of New Orleans. This year’s line-up boasts act such as Marsha Ambrosious, Aretha Franklin, SWV, Ledisi and Estelle. Enjoy a good three-day show while exploring all that NO has to offer. Who knows, you might even meet a summer fling on Bourbon Street.

LOLLAPALOOZA (AUG. 3-5): Bohemians, soul sistas and indie girls, rejoice! Lollapalooza brings some of the best hip-hop and underground artists to the Chicago Grant Park stage. Wale, The Weeknd, Frank Ocean and J. Cole are set to be your entertainment for the weekend. The world famous concert promises good weather, good food and most of all good music.
