10 Beauty Tips for the Summer

The warmer days are in full force! We are here to prepare you for the long and lazy days of summer so that you can look your absolute best. Here are 10 beauty tips to remember.

    1. Summer hair!

The summer is the best time to let your hair run wild and free. Also, curly hair is IN. Don’t be afraid to go into the water for a swim. Also, it is best to wear your hair away from your face. You will feel less hot that way.

    2. Moisturize!

Instead of foundation, use tinted moisturizer. Before going out in the sun, be sure to wear sunscreen and lotions to keep your skin moisturized. Remember, sunscreen is NOT ONLY for your face. Use it on your chest, hands, and neck. You are going to need these things for your perfectly sun-kissed skin.

    3. Minimal makeup

Usually, eyeliner and mascara will do the trick. If you need a fully made-up look, use eye shadow primer before applying that summer color on your eyes. Also, skip the pencil eyeliner and regular, runny mascara and use liquid eyeliner and waterproof mascara. Keep sticky lip gloss/lipsticks to a minimum.

    4. All bright everything

This is definitely a time to make a big wardrobe statement. Wear bright colors for everything: nails, clothes, shoes, and makeup. If you are scared to make a bright statement during the summer, here’s a tip: you probably should.

    5. Brighter hair colors

Keeping up with the bright color motif, if you are feeling adventurous, you can try to go for a brighter hair color. This is usually the time where many heads of hair will be a shade or two lighter than it was in the colder months.

    6. Colored hair needs to be taken care of.

If you are taking this risk, be sure to take care of your hair! Colored hair needs to be protected from the sun, and it needs to be conditioned regularly to make your brand new hair color last a bit longer.

    7. Blush in demand!

We all have that flushed look in the summer because of the warm (and sometimes unbearably hot weather). This is the perfect time to put your style to use. Use blush for your cheeks, so that you can look flushed but pretty at the same time.

    8. Exercise!

Remember, to work out regularly to keep your body well-toned and yourself in good shape. 30 minutes of physical activity every other day is a good start.

    9. Drink lots of water

It will keep you hydrated throughout the day, and you will have clearer skin because of it. 8 to 10 glasses a day will do the trick.

    10. Wear a swimsuit.

It’s the summer! You deserve to have some fun, right?
