Black Women Rock at 2012 SAG Awards

Octavia Spencer attended the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles where she won the award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in “The Help.”

She wore a gorgeous silver gown from the Tadashi Shoji Spring 2012 Collection.

The intricate beading on the top half of the gown gives the dress an elegant feel and adds texture as it flows into the draping at the waist of the gown.

Octavia completed the look with a silver clutch, gold chandelier earrings and a high bun.

Octavia has looked amazing this entire awards season, choosing figure flattering gowns in some lovely colors. I can’t wait to see what she wears on Oscar night.

Regina King kept it simple and elegant at the 2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards. She was a presenter during this year’s ceremony.

She wore one of my favorite dresses of the night, a lavender Alberta Ferretti gown with a sweetheart neckline and tiers of ruffles that flowed into an elegant fishtail.

The softness of the gown made for an extremely romantic look that Regina enhanced even more with a simple pair of drop earrings, a silver bangle and an embellished clutch.

This look was all about effortless glamour, and Regina wore it beautifully.

Zoe Saldana always looks amazing on the red carpet, and her look at this year’s Screen Actors Guild Awards was no exception.

She wore a white gown fresh from the Givenchy Spring 2012 Haute Couture Collection. The top portion of the gown is my favorite part of the dress with its sheer fabric, crystals and silver embellishments. This detailing is mimicked on the waist of the dress, adding a little edginess to the pristine color palette.

Zoe completed the look with a loose up-do, a white clutch and rosy lips.

Last but not least, Viola Davis looked radiant at the 2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards where she took home the Best Actress honor for her role in “The Help.”

She wore a custom Marchesa gown.

The white and gold dress showed off her fit arms and was a lovely contrast against her gorgeous skin tone. I really liked the gold embroidery across the top portion of the gown and the delicate draping at the waist.

Viola completed her goddess like look with loose curls, drop earrings and a gold bracelet. The pairing of white a gold created an extremely glamorous vibe, making this one of my favorite looks of the night.
