For students everywhere, summer is slowly coming to a close, and with that, it is time to enjoy some of the best things about summer. For me, those things include smores and smoothies. Using this, you are able to get the best of both worlds and have a frothy marshmallow shake that is surprisingly also low in calories.
Here’s what you’ll need to make the yummy magic happen:
- 10 Marshmallows (more if you care to garnish)
- 1/2 cup of milk (I use 2 percent)
- 1 cup of vanilla ice cream
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Skewer and toast the marshmallows. This can be done on your stove burner or a kitchen torch, if you please. Let marshmallows cool. Place in blender with remaining ingredients. Blend. Adjust to your thickness using milk to thin and ice cream to thicken. When it is at your liking, serve. You should have enough for between 2 and 3 servings.
