You will definitely gasp when you see this man’s work. It’s absolutely unbelievably amazing. No, seriously. We mean it.
Stephen Witlshire is a 37 year-old artist with autism. His autism doesn’t hold him back but yet heightens his sense of detail and artistic talent as he creates images and cityscapes from memory. Most recently, Wiltshire rode in a helicopter above the city of New York in order to memorize it. He didn’t take a photograph nor does he need pictures when he creates his work. He then produced a large-scale portrait of the image, including accurate detailed counts of windows on office buildings.
Wiltshire’s work sells for hundreds and thousands of dollars. Check out his website to learn more about his story and his work.
