You have probably watched the “Party” music video over and over again, envious of Beyoncé’s blonde locks and ready to run to the store and throw a home-coloring kit on your head. But before you rush out the door, be mindful of the beautiful skin tone that you have and the way it can impact your overall look. You may want to toss some blonde or purple low lights into your hair, but you want to make sure you are highlighting your personal beauty by being mindful of naturalism. One of the most important and simple factors when it comes to looking good is not doing too much or going overboard. Add some oomph, but keep it natural and attractive.
Your skin soaks up the beauty of darkish undertones, which makes you perfect for reddish hair color. Go for a copper-colored application to give your some luster and shine. If you really want to give your hair some edge, throw in a deep purple rinse (but don’t color your hair purple!). When the sun hits your hair, the light will give you hair the extra boost that you want to achieve. For purple tones, look for “plum” or “burgundy” colors. Burgundy is more of a mixture between the purple and the red and is very suitable for women of deep skin tones. If you want to go lighter, you can go for a “coffee brown” color with some mild, but deeper colored highlights. Avoid blonde and orange highlights or colors as they will only be unflattering to your overall look.

You’re right in the middle but you can be the most versatile with your look, especially with highlights! Copper-colored tones will also work for you, but if you want to amp your style, go for a bright brown tone with blonde or honey-bronzed highlights. This will really make your face pop. Bronze and orange are your friends as they help to bring out the yellow undertones in your skin. If you’re interested in going darker, a jet-blue hair color with some blue undertones will really give you a cool edge. Experiment and have fun but avoid going all-blonde as it appears to unnatural.

For the ultimate hair lift, go for blonde. A full blonde hair-do with some deep undertones really highlights your skin tone. Golden shades and toffee colored browns are perfect for you. Avoid auburn, burgundy, or reddish tones as they whitewash your skin. If you want a darker color, go for a jet black as it will give you edge and frame your face. If you decide to install some orange highlights don’t do it all over or you’ll end up looking like carrot-top.
